Back to school must-haves ♡

Basics

·         college ruled line paper
§  I prefer college ruled paper because the lines are narrow and you’ll be able to write a lot more than having wide ruled paper.
·         graph paper
§  I personally like to use graph paper for math! I like to use graph paper even if I’m not graphing anything. The reason why I like it is because when you need to calculate something out or do your number thing, it helps you to stay more organized. So you don’t go around getting confused on what is what and I don’t even think that made sense, but my point was... It helps to stay organized and make your paper look nice and stuff!
·         binder/folder
§  I prefer 1”-1.5” binders because they don’t take a lot of space in your bag
§  Folders can be used to put your homework inside of. You can make one side the “to-do” and the other side the “turn in/finished homework.”
·         pens
§  Basic colored pens most teachers require you to always have are black and/or blue ink pens.
§  Some teachers want you to have red pens for grading each others’ tests or essays.
·         pencils
§  You can have mechanical or just a wooden one? I don’t know! Whichever you prefer.
·         highlighters
§  I like having highlighters in case we take notes in class and I can highlight important things I might want to remember.
·         sticky notes
§  These are good for classes where it’s mostly book work and you can’t really write in the book so you write on the sticky note and just put it onto the page where you found that info.
·         eraser
§  Having a separate erase is good just in case you run out of it on your pencils.

Other things

·         water
§  It’s good to stay hydrated throughout the day! Also, just having some is better than finding a water fountain that has lots of germs.
·         snacks/lunch
§  Don’t starve yourself. You won’t be able to focus in class if you’re hungry. And it’s better than asking other people for food.
§  It’s better to eat smaller portions more frequently than to eat larger portions less frequently.
·         cash
§  Just in case of an emergency, or you forgot to bring lunch and you’re hungry… At least you have some money to go to the cafeteria, ASB, or vending machine to grab some food.
·         lotion
§  Scented or unscented
§  If you’re feeling dry, at least you can moisturize yourself.
·         phone charger
§  In case you forgot to charge your phone last night or if you use your phone a lot during school, at least by having your charger you can always charge it during class or something.
·         headphones
§  If you need some peace during break or something, at least you can jam to your music and not have to listen to other people and other people don’t have to listen to your music.
·         pads/tampons
§  Better to be over prepared than under prepared? Hahah.
·         tissues
§  If you’re like me and you tend to get sick a lot throughout the school year from staying up late and just being tired, it’s good to have some Kleenex in your bag! You never know when your teacher will run out and at least you can freely blow or nose and whatnot whenever you want. You don’t need to wait to get to class or ask other people.
·         headband/hair tie/bobby pins
§  If you guys have some time to study or you guys are taking a test/quiz or taking notes and need your hair out of your face, then at least you have these handy!
